Biography

Eli Fennell, Ph.D., earned his Doctorate in Experimental Psychology in 2022 from Florida Atlantic University. His Doctoral work focused on Dynamical Social Psychology in relation to Action Identification, Free Will Beliefs, Religiosity, Spirituality, and Moral Norms. His Masters work focused on Developmental Psychology in relation to correlates of Unconscious and Implicit Biases, Race Contact Experiences, and EEG and Eye Tracking characteristics of own- vs. other-race face processing. His postgraduate research has focused on the characteristics and priming of Action Identification in Large Language Models.

He recently coauthored Mental Calibration: Fine Tuning the Dynamics of Mind and Action with Dr. Robin Vallacher and Dr. Andrzej Nowak in Advances in Motivation Science Volume 10 (Elsevier, 2023) and Rapid Social Change and the Emergence of Populism with Dr. Robin R. Vallacher in The Psychology of Populism: The Tribal Challenge to Liberal Democracy (Routledge, 2021).
